IGCSE is a comprehensive two year programme for Grades IX & X. The programme is a well- balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. IGCSE is universally recognized among the best international schools and universities. Core skills such as retention and recall of knowledge, teamwork, problem solving etc., are developed in this course. The curriculum is regularly updated and extended to address changing global needs. It is an excellent foundation for students who plan to continue with the IB Curriculum at a pre -university level.

Cambridge IGCSE is part of the Cambridge Secondary 2 stage. Cambridge IGCSE encourages learner-centric and enquiry-based approaches to learning. Learners grow in areas of creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, which prepares them well for the next stage in their education. Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:

Assessment for Cambridge IGCSE includes written and oral tests, course work and practical assessment. The course work is decided and evaluated by the teacher and externally moderated by Cambridge.

The choice between core and extended curricula is available for most subjects which makes IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities. Learner’s performance is benchmarked using eight internationally recognised grades. The IGCSE examination is conducted in two cycles every year; May/June and October/November. The results are declared in August and January.

The resulting qualification lay a foundation for higher level courses, such as AS and A Levels. Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by universities and employers worldwide. Students who passed the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the subjects are eligible for admission to the First Year Pre-University Courses of a PU college affiliated to the Department of Pre-University Education in Karnataka.
